We are currently seeking a Departmental Liaison Officer to join our Executive and Ministerial Services team on a full-time temporary basis up to 12 months, with a possibility of an extension.

The role will be based out of the Minister's office.

**About the role**

The Departmental Liaison Officer is located within the Minister’s Office and is the central point of contact between the Minister’s Office and the Office of Sport. This role facilitates an effective and efficient flow of information and coordination that enables the provision of high quality and timely advice on matters relevant to the Sport portfolio.

Key accountabilities include:

- Facilitate the flow of information between the Office of Sport and the Minister’s Office, particularly regarding ministerial requests for information and advice, briefings and correspondence, submissions to government and responses to parliamentary enquiries.
- Support the Executive & Ministerial Services branch by providing context for requests for advice regarding background information, sensitivities, and priority, and by providing feedback on the outcome of advice submitted.
- Provide executive and administrative support and services, to the Minister’s Office, exercising discretion, initiative, and confidentiality.
- Coordinate meeting briefs and other material for Ministerial meetings, events, and announcements.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships between the Minister’s Office, the Office of Sport, and other entities within the portfolio to facilitate the flow of information.
