**About the Role**:
The Operations Manager, Community Services Victoria provides management of programs offered from Victoria and is part of the Service and Operations division of Baptcare. This involves leading staff in the provision of care to children, young people, and their families, managing operational relationships within the sector, leading strategic Baptcare initiatives, and managing operational budgets.
The Operations Manager role has a business focus to lead and deliver customer-centric services in a competitive environment and build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities. This is a lead role in the identification, trial, and implementation of evidence-based programs across Out of Home Care, Family Services, Family Violence, early intervention, and family preservation services.
**Key Selection Criteria**:
Comprehensive understanding of the Disability, Child, Youth, Family Services sector, including Child Protection, and the requirements of the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997, the Disability Services Act 2012, the Mental Health Act 2013, and other key legislative reforms.
Proven expertise in leading collaboration within and across community-based and government organisations.
Adeptness in networking and engaging in high-level professional liaison with external stakeholders such as tertiary institutions.
Proven capability to identify, trial, and implement evidence-based operations.
Skill in providing a high level of supervision and support to staff, including performance development and performance management issues.
Competence in managing the budgeting and financial operations of a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated capacity to achieve operation goals and targets within budget and timelines.

**About You**:

**You will ideally bring the following**:
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector and the operations of Federal and State governments, including their associated values and principles.
Exceptional business acumen with the ability to effectively manage and lead in a not-for[1]profit context.
Proficiency in political awareness with an understanding of the political landscape and how it relates to the not-for-profit sector.
Practical expertise in family services or a related field in community well-being, with a strong track record of success.
Proven experience in collaborating with diverse and disadvantaged communities to deliver meaningful and impactful solutions.
Flexibility and adaptability to excel in a dynamic and potentially ambiguous work environment, with a demonstrated capacity to respond effectively to change.
Satisfactory National Crime Check, renewed every three (3) years.
COVID-19 Vaccinations per Baptcare’s Vaccination Policy.
Current Driver’s License.
Current AHPRA Registration.
Full and ongoing Right to Work in Australia.
