**Summary of job description**
Provide administration and customer services (on a full-time or part-time basis) to a Building Certification business located in a cottage style office close to Moss Vale CBD in the Southern Highlands of NSW. The business has been successfully providing building approval services to homeowners and commercial property owners for the past 20 years.
**About the Role**
**Key Accountabilities**
- Regularly produce new and modified templates as required;
- Perform operational procedures involving the use of specialized computer programs including the NSW Planning Portal Digital Services Platform for the receiving of documentation for Development Applications, the issue of certificates and numerous documents relating to Building Certification processes;
- Operate an accounts computer program entering expenses and issuing invoices, pursue late payments and prepare the accounts for BAS statements.;
- Maintenance of file contents, and entering of data on the company records systems;
- Assist with the monitoring and management of the performance of servers, software, hardware and office equipment;
- Prioritize certain tasks and projects where necessary to ensure effective and timely outcomes;
- Other duties as reasonably directed by the Building Surveyors/Certifiers.
**About You Experience**
- At least one years' experience in Administration roles;
- Demonstrable experience in managing and using complex computer software programs;
- Ability to show initiative, solve problems and contribute to process improvement;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Skills**
- Knowledge and resilience in managing stressful situations;
- Ability to manage time and competing deadlines in a busy environment.
**Attributes**
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- High level of attention to detail and recognition of the importance of accuracy in all aspects of work.
**Mandatory Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in administration, or enrollment in a recognised course of studies in Administration;
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
**Desirable Criteria**
- Windows, Quick Books, (or other accounting programs) and certifications are highly desirable;
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent relevant experience;
- Relevant industry experience in the development and construction sector.
