**About the Role**
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Research Support Officer to join the Melbourne Medical School and be a part of a dynamic team dedicated to promoting and delivering impactful research initiatives. As part of a small team of professionals and academics, you will have the chance to contribute to the development, promotion, and delivery of events, grant schemes, and effective research-related communications. With a focus on collaboration and working with diverse stakeholders, this role offers a unique chance to enhance your organisational, interpersonal, and written communication skills while contributing to the vibrant research culture at the University's Parkville campus.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Support the Research Manager and Research Director in the planning, promotion and delivery of the School’s research support initiatives.
- Support the promotion of research and research training activities, opportunities and achievements across the School.
- Provide secretariat duties for the School’s Research and Research Training committee and other School-level meetings.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You are a highly skilled individual with excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal abilities. You demonstrate sound judgment, handle sensitive information with discretion, and exhibit versatility, flexibility, enthusiasm, and self-motivation in both independent and team settings.

You will also have:

- An appropriate tertiary qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in providing secretariat support for meetings, including maintaining membership lists, preparing and distributing agenda papers, minute taking, following up on action items and collating and organising meeting papers.
- Well-developed computer skills and competency in a range of software packages including the Microsoft office suite, with demonstrated accuracy in data entry and attention to detail.
