- Join us in an exciting role helping protect Tasmania’s natural environment, agricultural industries, and economy from damaging emergency events.**About the role**:
You’ll play a critical role in preparing and building the capacity of Biosecurity Tasmania to enable the effective response and management of emergent threats. Some of your key duties will include:
- Plan, develop, and maintain an emergency management framework.
- Represent Biosecurity Tasmania at Commonwealth, State, and Regional government committees.
- Provide strategic and operational biosecurity emergency management advice.
- Oversee and manage Biosecurity Tasmania’s emergency management program and staff.
- Coordinate and implement recommendations from emergency response reviews and preparedness exercises.
This is a new 12-month Fixed Term position based in Devonport, Hobart, or Launceston

**Hours per fortnight**:
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
**Period of appointment**:
12 months.
**Desirable requirements**:
- Advanced Diploma in Emergency Management, or other relevant qualifications.
- Qualifications in Incident Management e.g. Australasian Inter-service Incident Management System (AIIMS).
