**About the role**.**:
Our government client is seeking a Technical Specialist to take responsibility for maintaining and improving a complex landscape of business-critical solutions, provide operational support to our customers and help implement the client’s digital transformation strategy.

**Key responsibilities**.**:

- Work closely with stakeholders on initiatives that involve authentication, access, data translation development.
- Design, test and implement data translation objects (maps).
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to authentication, access and identity systems.
- Perform upgrades and support a range of identity and other platforms.
- Contribute to the development of documentation for future reference, training and support purposes.
- Support the drafting of transition plans to move development work into various environments.
- Participate in co-design activities across the client’s community regarding technology requirements, priorities, customer experience and innovative solutions.
- Maintain a knowledge and understanding of contemporary systems development and to share this knowledge amongst the team and peers.
- Compliance with health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and safe work practice

**Mandatory criteria**.**:

- Relevant education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree, as well as proven solid relevant experience in access and identity within a medium to large organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in contributing as a technical expert as part of a team, with experience working with the following technologies such as Linux, Database, Java, TomCat, Apache, Ansible for example.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience in identifying and conceptualising client requirements, designing and developing solutions, and deploying and implementing solutions using contemporary technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain productive and collaborative working relationships, including the ability to develop and present concepts and negotiate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proven planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing own and workflow priorities, and working across a diverse number of initiatives within tight and competing timelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, maintaining and supporting enterprise identity and access platforms.
