**About the role**.**:
Our client seeking an Application Technical Specialist to provide technical support and administration for a large range of diverse and complex Applications.

**Key responsibilities**.**:

- Provide expert technical support for Applications ensuring timely incident and problem identification and resolution to the agreed-stated levels of service.
- Provide expert technical knowledge in the ongoing administration and optimisation of the organisation’s Applications.
- Assist the gathering, development, and maintenance of business requirement documentation.
- Coordinate unit and business testing of various business system enhancements and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain the operational procedures, policy and standards pertaining to the systems administration of Applications; ensuring all relevant information is exchanged and shared throughout the team where appropriate.
- Maintain a high-level technical understanding of Seqwater’s Applications
- Ensure working relationships between ICT and customer business units is maintained to identify, agree, and meet customer requirements for core services provided.
- Monitor and report on vendor support and consultancies in relation to Application enhancements and incident resolution.
- Perform tasks/projects as directed by the Supervisor, Technical Specialists (Applications), on time and within budget allocation.
- Observe and comply with all Seqwater Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices, Quality Management System Procedures and Environmental Management system procedures.

**Skills and experience**.**:

- Tertiary qualifications in an information technology discipline or associated business discipline and/or substantial experience commensurate with the duties and accountabilities of the position
- ITIL certification is desirable.
- Knowledge of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework and how it applies to the management of ICT services.
- Experience supporting SQL server.
- Proven ability to work with mínimal supervision, manage a heavy workload, and achieving results under pressure.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage competing demands, establish, and maintain working relationships with clients and peers and deliver to agreed service levels.
