The Capital Change and Interpretation team within Group Treasury is focused on proactively supporting Macquarie’s capital position and its business activities in a dynamic external environment. The team manages capital regulation, regulatory change and interpretation for Macquarie’s business activities and your role will be to provide insights on capital treatments, capital change impact and support the business to manage the capital position.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and change of capital treatments for Macquarie's business activities, whilst partnering with our business and risk divisions to enable their continued growth. Key to your success will be your ability to engage with senior stakeholders across Group Treasury and the rest of Macquarie.

As Executive/Senior Associate, you will be working in a high performing team and will contribute to the development of policies and practices as well as new transactions that will shape the capital outcomes of Macquarie’s business activities.

Your role will involve working on Macquarie’s capital interpretation and assumption to address regulatory change and business requirements. You will be supporting project teams in transformation of our capital calculation in providing guidance and advise on capital treatments.

You will learn about capital management and work together closely with various Macquarie businesses to appropriately and structure Macquarie’s products and business.

Key to your success in this role is a curious and open mindset and being comfortable with adapting to change coupled with an outstanding academic background in a financial or quantitative or law degree. You will possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, alongside the ability to understand and succinctly explain complex areas of judgement.
