**What you’ll do**
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, The Associate Director - Marketing has a leading role in developing launch plans and the strategic marketing direction to ensure commercial success of the Neurology Portfolio. This role will also be responsible for assessing the AU commercialisation opportunity of key pipeline products in the TA and to develop pre-launch plans. The Associate Director is an experienced, valued and trusted team member, partnering with cross-functional colleagues to maximise commercial value.

**As an Associate Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for**:

- Co-Leading with Medical TA lead the Neurology cross-functional team and the development of robust launch plans to ensure commercial success of portfolio
- Partnering with the International IMPACT and Global teams including Launch Excellence Leads to effectively and efficiently manage launch plans and timelines
- Supporting Market Access lead in optimising the submission strategy
- Line management of Senior Product Manager allocated to the therapeutic area
- Leading the development of tactical plans taking into account the product life cycle
- Commissioning market research to validate and fully understand the market context, customer views and product perception as appropriate
- Leading the development and implementation of innovative digital educational projects,tracking effectiveness through defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Managing and reporting on marketing budget ensuring optimised use of resources
- Monitoring business performance, competitors, and external environment
- Providing professional, creative and energetic presentations of brand strategy and tactical initiatives, generating enthusiasm with sales teams and with external customers and agencies
- Ensuring full compliance with Medicines Australia
- Working within Alexion’s compliance framework and seek local country guidance on local Codes and Policies relevant to product launch strategies and actions
- Conducting self and all Alexion-related activities in-line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Aust/NZ marketing and advertising Acts and guidelines and pharmacovigilance guidelines; maintaining consistently high standards of product expertise and stakeholder relations
- Scheduling timely and appropriate personal development to ensure industry / product / disease knowledge is current and relevant

**Essential for the role**
- Bachelor’s degree required - MBA or Marketing Masters preferred
- 7+ years marketing in a pharmaceutical marketing environment
- Proven track record launching successful pharmaceutical products
- Demonstrated experience in driving digital engagement with customers
- Demonstrated experience in Rare Disease or in a similar specialised area desirable
- Demonstrated experience successfully/effectively working autonomously as well as cross-functionally
- Excellent project managemnt skills
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
