**JAPANESE-SPEAKING PART TIME JUNIOR PROJECT ASSISTANT**
- Work from Home available 2 days/week
- Hours: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (1-hour lunch break )Mon-Fri
- May 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, extension of possibility

The organisation is currently looking for a Japanese-Speaking Junior **Project Assistant **for a for Australian and Japanese investment. This is the great experience for your career.
You will be the point of contact for some Australian company who is interested in investing in Japan market. This is great opportunity for you to start in a career in a government organisation and exposed to various businesses and industries for investment opportunities. If you are Native level Japanese speaker with English language skill, we would like to hear from you. This is entry level so the similar experience is NOT necessary.

**Job Description: Operational tasks within the Business Development Team**
- Support tasks in the following business areas conducted by the team: BD Team consists of a Director (Japanese) + 3 staff members
- Support for Japanese companies exporting to Australia and New Zealand such as business matching support, inquiry handling.
- New discovery of Australian and New Zealand buyers interested in importing Japanese products and registration on Japan Street
- Collaboration with Australian and New Zealand partners in the EC sales project overseas (JAPAN MALL business) and operational tasks Operation tasks on invitation-only online catalog for buyers, "Japan Street"
-Specifically, proposing Japanese products to Australian and New Zealand buyers registered on JS and conducting negotiation matching.
- Coordination with customers and relevant agencies associated with the above business operations:

- Communication with Japanese companies, Australian and New Zealand companies such as manufacturers, importers, restaurant professionals, retailers, startups, commissioning parties in Japanese and English.
- Communication with Austrade, state governments, Japanese-related government agencies, and other relevant agencies in Japanese and English.
- Communication with Tokyo Headquarters associated with the above business operations.
- Office work associated with the above business operations (internal administrative procedures, expense settlement processing, etc.).

**Additional Information**:

- Possibility of domestic/international business trips.
- Someone with positive attitude
- Japanese permanent residents, Partner Visa, Graduate Visa and Citizen who are proficient in Japanese and English are desirable (Student Visa holder are also acceptable but has to have business English level).
- This is entry position, prior experience in similar tasks and relevant expertise is not mandatory.
