**SCHOOL EVENTS AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANTS**

**PURPOSE **To provide support to the Director of Events and Operations by
providing high level of detail, a commitment to excellence and to
assist with the smooth running of events whilst minimising
disruption to school activities.
**ENVIRONMENT **Casual employment. The span of hours will be based the
operational requirements for the school which will be rostered on
a weekly basis. Some after hours and weekend work will be
required.
**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**
- Provide assistance with set up and pack up of school activities and events Including
classroom, assembly and off-site activities
- Provide technical light and sound or IT support at events
- Accept and distribute any deliveries and mail around the school
- Move furniture as required for school programs
- Assist with the set up of off-site activities such as sport carnivals
- Transport items to off-site events as required
- Deliver and collect items from the School’s storage facilities
- Assist with the creation of events in the school ticketing system
- Assist with event styling and presentation of school events
- Assist with food and beverage service, set up and pack down at school events
- Provide administrative support for events such as signage, run sheets, and communications
- Comply with all school policies including all workplace health and safety instructions
- Perform other duties as requested

- A knowledge of Lowther Hall operations would be an advantage
- Physical strength and a high level of fitness. Must be able to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to staff, students, parents and the broader
- community- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively with a range of tasks and competing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
- Familiarity with Audio Visual, lighting and sound equipment would be an advantage
- Demonstrated problem solving skills

- Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate
**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**
- Holds a Driver’s Licence- A current WWC registration
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- An understanding of the Lowther Hall context
- An understanding of child safe standards
- Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate - with a commitment to on-going training
- Current anaphylaxis management qualification
- Current asthma management qualification
- Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Record Check upon appointment
- Responsible Serving of Alcohol or willingness to obtain it
