About the role

We’re seeking a Head of Service and Performance Excellence, you’ll responsible for leading and driving the overall performance improvement of the services (existing and emerging) within the roadside technology teams with focus and discipline. You will work closely with other leaders within the business to establish and lead capability for service management, continuous improvement and organisational change that support and serves the performance of the whole Partnering and Transport Technology team.

You’ll be a key member of an innovative, world leading team of engineers and technologists who design, engineer and operate our Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). We develop the brightest ideas and bring the most inspired engineering into enable safer, more efficient, and more sustainable Transport Technology solutions, ensuring the smooth and safe flow of traffic over Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane traffic corridors.

As our Head of Service and Performance Excellence you’ll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It’s meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

You will be at the forefront of working through the challenges of integrating OT and IT in an industrial environment.

Day-to-day you will establish a small team capability to perform:
- Define service performance requirements to deliver Transurban business performance- Data management, reporting & analytics- Service performance diagnostics & improvement planning both short and long term- Operational excellence initiative pipeline management including the design and implementation of a practically applied continuous improvement approach including change support- Actively collaborate with, coach and support all of the operations and engineering teams to collectively align and lift performance- Establish and regularly review team operating rhythms and ways of working to enable high performance

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Leadership of matrix teams, with a track record in setting future state vision, to inspire and achieve alignment- Experience in service delivery implementation and assurance across IT (and ideally but not essentially also OT) environments- Understanding of the commercial, business and technology drivers that will influence the development, implementation and operation of technology in industrial environments- Analytical, commercial and communication (written and verbal) skills that can be applied in the development of strategies and business cases for investment decisions- Experience in business improvement & change management techniques - nice to haveWith a career at Transurban, you’ll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
