**THE PROJECT**

The Djilang Alliance, comprising of DT Infrastructure, McConnell Dowell, Arup and WSP Australia, has been selected as the preferred contractor for the South Geelong to Waurn Ponds Duplication.

**With a completion date targeted for 2024, the project will include**:

- Duplicating around eight kilometres of track between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- Rebuilding South Geelong and Marshall stations featuring new station buildings and forecourts, second platforms and accessible pedestrian overpasses
- Removal of the level crossings at Fyans Street and Surf Coast Highway and replaced with elevated rail bridges
- Signalling upgrades between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds
- More than five kilometres of new shared user paths linking to existing trails and paths and creating a continuous connection between South Geelong and Waurn Ponds.

**THE ROLE**

The Djilang Alliance are seeking an experienced **Systems** **Safety Assurance Lead **to manage the assurance of System Safety activities for the project, including the development of Safety cases to ensure all outputs support the delivery and integrity of the project systems.

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, you will be based on-site at South Geelong Victoria with working from home flexibility.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Provide systems safety assurance services across all project phases
- Manage the systems safety assurance for the design and delivery of the Project
- Delivery of the system safety assurance function to meet time, budget and quality requirements
- Developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure the safety performance of the project systems and effective interfacing with other project sub-systems
- Ensure Rail System Safety, Risk Management, and Network Configuration management are effectively applied within the integration and interfacing functions.
- Lead a team in systems safety assurance management covering all project systems and components.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or recognised equivalent industry experience discipline
- 5+ years of related experience in a similar role, preferably within a multi-site construction, transport or engineering industry
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams, preferably with recent experience in the rail sector
- Demonstrated experience working to tight time frames in a changing environment and ability to work under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations
- Outcome focused, hands on, and operational, with good technical capability
- Experience in developing, analysing, and reporting on complex project performance, compliance, and defects and/or non-conformance
