The Castlemaine site is the largest regional food manufacturing site in Victoria and is a core part of the local community in both Castlemaine and greater Bendigo. **About the role**

This newly created role within the wider HSE function exists to bring a specialist focus on Safety Systems, Assurance and Compliance, benefitting from significant ongoing work by the wider team and rolling out some exciting safety projects. The core focus of the role will be to develop and implement HSE Management systems that are compliant, fit for purpose and getting the best out of the HSE team and the wider operational footprint across Castlemaine, the farms and Port Melbourne.

You will support the safety strategy, add value across all aspects of the business and be invovled in some really exciting project rollout that will shape the safety function. Working actively with the wider HSE team, operations and corporate functions you will have touchpoints all across the business and ensure that what DON are building is fit for purpose, compliant and pursuing best in class.

**About you**

What are we looking for? Someone who has an excellent eye for detail will be a critical skillset in this role as the success of this role will be as much in the micro as the macro. People side, you will be able to bridge communications equally across operations through to senior leadership and non-operational workforce and support ongoing cultural and behavioural change within safety. Having worked in a business with a diverse risk profile will be highly valuable here in a site with the size and complexity of DON. You will be able to work autonomously under the guidance of a strong senior safety leader, but equally be an active and invovled part of a wider team structure and help the HSE function in their continuous journey.
