The “Head of Operations - Private Equity, Real Assets” is responsible for owning and leading the closed ended Fund Accounting team located in the region. The full time role will include local office and offshore office operations delivery for every aspect of Fund Accounting & Administration. Will act as a business relationship manager for all fund administration services for closed ended funds. Close working relationship with Client Strategic management teams, Product and Client Relationship Managers. Ensure the quality (accuracy, timeliness, and delivery) of Service to clients with Private Equity & Real Assets strategies.

**Responsibilities**:
The role duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
Technical:

- Oversee and lead the Net Asset Valuation (NAV) review processes for variety of Private Equity & Real Asset funds, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with fund governing and regulatory procedures
- Review of annual financial statements
- Oversee of the calculation and processing of fund capital calls and distributions
- Lead and oversee in the preparation and completion of the audit process for assigned relationships
- Oversight of submission of regulatory and tax filings on behalf of clients
- Regular interaction with clients, fund directors and other relevant parties
- Maintain tracker of various activities with-in the team

Operational:

- Translate strategy into an operational plan for delivery and provide oversight and guidance to ensure organisational leadership and day to day business running
- Work closely with other regional functional leads across Operations and wider CRM and Product team
- Develop and foster key relationships within business / product line and promote an environment of personal development and continuous improvement
- Drive strategic dialogue across operations and businesses to prioritize key initiatives
- Ensuring excellent client service delivery to existing clients and functional products
- Leading client relationships in line with the Operating Model
- Meeting Apex’s financial and operational targets
- Responsible for the team across Australia including resource planning for the new businesses
- Team collaboration across multiple jurisdictions globally including Centre of Excellence team and ensure that client deliverables are being met
- Interact with Senior management and clients
- Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards
- Implementation of fund structures onto accounting system
- Review of constitutional documents and preparation of client SLA and budgeting

Business Development & CRM:

- Act as the key contact representing Operations team in client calls, due diligence by new clients as well as client pitches.
- Lead new client onboardings & related client implementation projects.

**Skills Required**:

- Bachelor or Master level degree
- A professional designation such a CA, CPAA, or ACCA etc., would be an asset.
- 10+ years of private equity or real estate fund accounting / fund administration
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (both Verbal and written)
- Motivated, bright and diligent individual who is driven to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects
- A team player who is able to manage individual responsibilities
- Advanced level MS excel, proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint
- A detailed understanding of Real Estate and REIT fund structures and the fund administration industry
- Knowledge and prior experience on YARDI, eFront and Investran system a big advantage
