This role reports to the Regional Quality Manager in China and will be accountable for the overall leadership of the quality function at site level (this is a MHF site) as well as other sites within the business such as the Melbourne head office and R&T laboratory in Brooklyn.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead performance management and development of team members, deployment / implementation of LSI quality strategies, systems, and KPIs at site level for both the Trentham and Auckland sites
- Will effectively and efficiently manage the overall site supply base and lead development and implementation of appropriate strategies to optimize inspection and testing requirements across the value chain.
- Managing the Laboratory and ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of production samples. Having a working knowledge and experience with instrumental methods such as GC and HPLC will be required.
- The effective training, managing, mentoring, staff members career development and delegation of work to the Lab leader in Auckland site
- Working with the Production Departments to develop/ enhance methods and systems to ensure product quality meets the necessary standards
- Manage the site Quality resources to ensure efficient and accurate development, implementation, and maintenance of requisite quality systems and related elements (e.g. ISO 9000 certification) to drive customer satisfaction and business opportunities
- Lead development, implementation, and evolution of business relevant quality KPIs, including establishment of leading and lagging indicators for leverage quality as a competitive advantage.
- Work very closely with the Site Leadership Team to produce, implement and monitor improvements to methods and processes to drive optimization of quality costs, including acting as the key liaison with research team for design review, commercialization, post-launch investigations and any relevant improvement opportunities
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or related field
- 5-10 years experience in QA or QC
- ISO experienced highly preferred
- Auditing experience requird
- Being versed in HPLC, MFH highly preferred
