Join the team at Melbourne Private Hospital as a Quality Manager We're looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our team on a part-time basis. Melbourne Private Hospital have provided a range of acute medical and surgical healthcare services to our community for over 20 years. We are a 122-bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic, and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.
**As a Quality Manager your responsibilities will include**:
- Facilitate ongoing implementation and monitoring of the Hospital/Facility wide quality improvement program and to promote risk management to support the strategic direction
- Be responsible for and lead short notice accreditation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Responsible and lead quality and clinical Governance outcomes
- Ensuring the hospital operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as striving for continuous improvement
- The coordination and implementation of the infection control program to ensure high quality patient care and staff safety in infection control
- Ensuring a safe practice and working environment for staff
- Adapt to operational requirements
**Essential Criteria**:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Working with Children check
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
- Auditing skills
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
