**About the Role**
As the General Manager of Communications and Grower Engagement, you will be responsible for developing, leading, and managing the GrainGrowers engagement strategy with growers, industry, government stakeholders, and the media. You will deliver a proactive engagement approach and support activities across the organisation primarily through communications, regional activities, events and projects, and member services.

You will work closely with the CEO and the senior leadership team to influence and drive innovative outcomes to support growers nationally.

GrainGrowers are looking for an experienced and highly engaging senior manager with a strong demonstrated ability in marketing, communications, and engagement. You will drive, lead and implement strategy to deliver pivotal outcomes. You will have a collaborative and innovative approach, ensuring your team is an integral part of the journey.

Experience or an interest in the agriculture or grain industry is highly desirable but not essential.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Lead member engagement and membership services to ensure an exceptional experience for all members
- Oversee and manage the team across Australia to ensure the delivery of grower activities
- Lead and manage communications and public affairs activities, leveraging your own network
- Ensure consistency of strategic positioning, message, and tone is aligned with the brand
- Enhance engagement and reputation with stakeholders e.g. members, growers, grains industry organisations, government
- Lead, manage, and track grower engagement activities to ensure activities and opportunities are aligned with what growers want and need
- Identify opportunities to engage new stakeholders and implement new systems and processes
- Develop and maintain budgets and financial strategies

**To be successful you will have**:

- Extensive experience in membership engagement, communications, or marketing
- Extensive experience in leading a team and providing communications advice and support at an executive level
- Demonstrated experience in corporate communications delivery and issue management
- You will preferably have an interest and/or experience in the Australian grains industry
- Strong financial management and experience in strategic planning
- Ability to travel and manage a diverse team located in Sydney and regional Australia
- Experience managing remote or regional events
- Ability to solve problems, resolve conflict, offer constructive solutions, make concise well-thought-through decisions
