This position will work 8 days per fortnight from Wednesday to Saturday commencing at 3:30am until 1:30pm.

We currently have an opportunity for a suitably experienced Plant Operator & Multi-Skilled Worker to join our Depot services team in Maroubra.

A commitment to workplace safety is fundamental as well as providing superior customer service to promote a positive image of Council. Previous experience in a similar role will be highly advantageous.

**We will trust you to bring**:

- Experience in operating Mechanical Road sweepers
- Class HR or MR driver’s licence or relevant other certified qualifications
- A current WHS General Construction Induction (White) card.
- Experience in dealing with members of the public.
- An ability to perform duties with mínimal supervision.
- A willingness to comply with all Council’s policies and procedures

**Things you will do**:

- Perform duties with mínimal supervision, while also being able to work in a team environment
- Perform all activities in accordance with Council’s Safe Work Method Statements
- Ensure compliance with legislative, industrial and Council policy requirements and standards in the areas of Equal Employment Opportunity; Work,

Health and Safety and Rehabilitation; and environmental protection.
- Ensure an ethic with the focus on quality customer service that is responsive to the needs of the community.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance check sheets are completed daily, identifying and reporting any damage or mechanical repairs needed and be responsible for

the general cleanliness and appearances of Council’s vehicle whilst under your control
- Exercise all delegated responsibilities in a diligent manner

**Further information**:
A MR/HR drivers’ licence and experience in the operation of Mechanical Sweeper machines is an essential requirement for this role.
