**Salary**:$74,112 - $81,533 + 11% superannuation

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Open Spaces team is seeking Ganger position.

**Purpose**:
To lead the activities of a team of Plant Operators and/or Multi-Skilled Workers in undertaking general maintenance activities in the areas of Open Spaces or Road Services or Waste and Cleansing Services.

**About the role**:

- To perform duties with mínimal supervision, while also being able to work in a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with staff to resolve any conflict involving staff being supervised and report any instances to the Supervisor.
- Make safe and report any instances of vandalism or damage to Council assets and report to Depot administration staff and record CRM number in diary.
- Ensure all works are undertaken in an environmentally acceptable manner and in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.

**About you**:

- A Certificate III (three) in Horticulture and/or demonstrated experience in municipal work.
- Demonstrated experience in an operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience in management of outdoor staff.
- Experience in dealing with members of the public.
- Be self-motivated and show initiative in the delegated areas of responsibility.
- MR driver s licence and/or relevant licences to operate associated plant and equipment for the section.
