Water Tank Technician

Altanks specialise in highly efficient bolt together steel tanks designed for fire storage, water treatment, mine sites and potable water. The Altanks team install and service tanks in every state and territory in Australia.

**About the Role**

We are currently seeking a motivated Water Tank Technician to join our Altanks Team. Located in Burleigh Heads and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out work activities to ensure that Water Tank Maintenance activities are completed safely, on time and to budget.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Water tank maintenance - with all maintenance training provided;
- Installing and repairing equipment and performing ROV inspections for customers;
- Ensure a safe workplace is maintained and safe work practices are used;
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained in your area;
- Engage in Continuous Improvement activities and tasks within your team;
- Take initiative in a small team to solve complex problems associated with your areas of influence.

**Skills and Experience**
- 3+ years’ experience in a labour-intensive role with shown ability to work long hours outdoors in direct sunlight.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans.
- Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Proficient with power tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to work autonomously and problem solve where required.
- Ability to work towards a deadline and deliver high quality work within that deadline.
- Ability to problem solve
- Extensive communication skills (confident both spoken and written);
- Willingness to travel on an ad-hoc basis as required.
- Good attitude, the right individual will see potential growth within the role.
- Working at heights preferred.
- Confined spaces preferred.
- Experience working alongside tradesmen, preferred.
