About the Role

As a seasoned software engineering team lead at Cognizant, you will have the opportunity to oversee a high-performing team responsible for developing cutting-edge solutions using Guidewire technology. With your extensive experience in Guidewire, Java, NodeJS, GraphQL, and web services, you will be instrumental in driving the development of innovative applications that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, testers, and customers, to ensure seamless collaboration and timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a scrum team consisting of Guidewire developers, testers, and business analysts, ensuring effective communication and project execution
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, code, and design changes, as well as complete Guidewire integration changes
  • Collaborate with customer-side technical leads and architects to provide technical guidance and support
  • Estimate work effort, review team deliverables, and conduct stand-ups to ensure smooth project progress
  • Participate in business workshops, provide technical inputs, and share knowledge base documents
  • Mentor junior team members, establish best practices, and ensure adherence to quality standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 8 years' experience in Guidewire, Core Java, REST API technologies, and P&C insurance
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Guidewire, with hands-on experience in writing unit tests and increasing code coverage
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
