The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for the enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in, line with the Group’s risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations. Ultimately its success will be in delivering a risk practice that is embedded into how we engage with our customers.

About the role

About the role

As the Operational Risk Manager and reporting to Senior Manager Risk and Compliance you will be an integral part supporting the Business & Agribusiness in relation to implementing the risk and compliance framework in particular supporting the Financial Markets Business Unit and its relevant products, services and customer segment. You will have key relationships with the Financial Markets Leadership Team - Sales, Money Markets, Markets Risk and Structuring as well as Specialist Solution Leaders.

**Other key accountabilities include**:
Performing all tasks in line with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ensuring that all risk and compliance activities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner and escalated where required.
Producing papers for and provide input into the Divisional Operational Risk Committee Meetings.
Facilitating Change Initiatives and Business Unit’s RCSAs workshops and/or meetings as per the RCSA procedures
Promoting a strong risk and compliance culture (through education, support and awareness).

About you

To be successful you will have

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Law or Business-related fields highly desirable.
RG146 qualifications in Financial Market products highly desirable
Demonstrated experience in the operations of a Financial Markets business and understanding of relevant products, services and customer segment and its risk management processes and frameworks is required
Experience in Operational Risk and Compliance (Line 1 or 2) or Audit roles with
- in Banking and Finance is desirable
Excellent communication skills including the ability to present, influence and negotiate across all levels of management
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Self-driven, inquisitive, highly motivated and adaptable disposition
