**What you'll be doing**

The Manager of Allied Health Services is responsible for providing operational management and leadership for the service managers who lead allied health teams in the ISLHD D&A Service. This includes ensuring that clinical best practice is reflected in the work of all Allied Health staff across the District Drug and Alcohol Service. This is achieved through the coordination of the development of clinical protocols, policies and models of care, the establishment of mentoring and supervision practices, the implementation and monitoring of the Clinical Care Standards, the direct provision or facilitation of ongoing training opportunities for skill development and leadership in the services quality and research agenda.
The position represents the service at State D&A allied health and HARP forums and assists in the development of key partnerships with Mental Health, APHC, the Primary Health Network, D&A NGO's and others.
This position provides direct line management to the Allied Health Service Managers and the Health Education Team and the HARP team. The position provides support to the managers around the management of clinical performance, the investigation of clinical IIMS and SAC 2 clinical incidents.
The position reports directly to the ISHLD Drug and Alcohol Service Director.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

**Selection Criteria**
- Recognised senior experience in Allied Health management across multiple disciplines and services
- Tertiary qualification in Health Leadership, Business or Organisational Leadership and or relevant experience.
- Current clinical and leadership experience at an advanced level in the Drug and Alcohol field.
- Strong experience in the development of best practice clinical policies and models of Care that would enhance the work of Allied Health staff in the D&A setting.
- Strong experience in the use and analysis of clinical data to inform strategic direction, improve clinical practice, assess efficacy and manage risk.
- Demonstrated experience in Quality and Research activities in the Drug & Alcohol field that translate for clinical practice and lead change.
- Demonstrated ability to provide education and training to clinicians around best practice approaches.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence which is valid in NSW.
