**Team overview**

The Family and Community Services Department at Banyule City Council sits within the Community Wellbeing directorate. It provides a range of services to children, families, young people and community groups within the municipality. These services promote and support health, wellbeing and education and strive to build a connected and safe community.

**Overview of role**

To support the Immunisation team in the efficient operating of council immunisation sessions before, during and after. This involves providing professional and effective administrative support through communication, face to face attendance and computer proficiency. Support of similar duties within MCH administration as required.

**Key Responsibilities**

Assist in the smooth running of all Council immunisation sessions by:

- Attending public, school and commercial immunisation sessions and ensure completion of all clerical work.
- Providing advice to the public regarding immunisation sessions, schedule and contraindications
- Assisting in the setting up and packing up of equipment at immunisation sessions.
- Attendance at monthly MCH and Immunisation team meetings.
- Issuing of receipts and banking of money for commercial vaccine sales at immunisation sessions.
- Ensure vaccine deliveries are packaged and stored correctly
- Provide administrative support to the MCH and Immunisation Services Leadership team.
- Backfill of leave for MCH administration through telephone support or other administrative duties as required
- Manage appointment requests by either telephone or online booking request including rescheduling appointments due to staff leave or client request
- Provide administrative support to the MCH and Immunisation Services Leadership team
- Available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8.30am - 4.30pm and be available to occasionally work on weekends.

**Qualifications and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

- A detailed knowledge of the schedules in relation to immunisation and proficiency in the use of Immunisation software
- CIRV. (desirable).
- Knowledge of MCH software CDIS. (Desirable)
- Experience in providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Administration training and or experience.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.

**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
- Working with Children Check.
- Police check.
- Drivers licence.
