W Melbourne is the rebel between the streets, taking its design cues from Australia’s cultural capital and providing the back-lane entrance keys to what’s New/Next in the city. Extending the laneway culture inside, 294 bold rooms and suites peel back the layers and revel in the city’s history. **About the Role**
- Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
- Ensure thorough understanding menu and special offerings including dietary.
- Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and venue/hotel offerings.
- Inspect cleanliness and presentation of china, glass, and silver before use.
- Complete closing duties: store reusable goods, break down goods, clean equipment and areas, return equipment to proper locations, lock refrigerators, restock items, turn off lights, lock doors, and complete daily cleaning checklist.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
- Use clear and professional language when speaking with others.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Assist follow talent to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
