**Role Details**: The Principal Project Officer is a role within Early Intervention Research Directorate and is accountable to the Manager, Evidence & Implementation for:

- Providing authoritative advice on early intervention priorities and strategies for the child protection system and leading development of cross-agency initiatives.
- Leading and coordinating the development of proposals on major, complex policy issues based on proven evidence and contemporary service design and research.
- Establishing and developing effective collaborations and a network of strategic alliances with key stakeholders across government.

**Special Conditions**: National Police Check required.

Employment-related Screening Check required.

Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.

Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).

Covid -19 - will be required to have had two COVID-19 vaccinations prior to engagement with DHS, unless it would be medically unsafe for the employee to do so, or they’re currently employed in the SA public sector and are not required to be vaccinated.

Role Status: Term up to 06/06/2025.

Tertiary qualification in human services, social work or equivalent expertise gained from training or professional accreditation is desirable.

Our Child Safety and Family Support division provides stewardship and service delivery for the Child and Family Support System, designed to help children and their families with early targeted assistance to reduce incidents of child maltreatment and prevent children entering the child protection system.
