About the role

The Corporate Communications and Media Partner will work with BEDA's Business Growth, Trade and Talent team to develop and deliver tactical and strategic communication activity to help grow local business and position Brisbane domestically and internationally, as a leading destination for investment and talent.

Reporting into the Head of Communications & Content, you will be comfortable working hands on within a small dynamic team.

**Your duties will include, but not be limited to**:
Develop and deliver targeted communication, media materials and

Develop and execute PR and communications plans and identify media opportunities to promote business growth programs, accelerators and initiatives across key industries including health, property, technology and food, as well as business support and awards programs;
Develop corporate communications and media material including media releases, speeches, social media posts, briefing notes, content plans and campaign reports;
Manage any external agencies providing support;
Support the strategy development and day-to-day management of BEDA's corporate social channels and website content;
Build high value stakeholder relations with internal and external clients, establishing a trusted business partner approach; and

Ensure media and industry requests are managed in a timely and appropriate manner and maintain media contact databases.

About the role

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Business or similar;
Proven experience developing and successfully implementing communications and content strategies and plans and media liaison;
Highly-developed interpersonal skills with experience developing and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, industry and government agencies;
Knowledge and experience in content management systems for intranets, websites and eDM distributions.

Proven experience developing social content, calendars, and plans;
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation;
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills and proven experience in drafting material across a range of channels and mediums for use by senior leaders and politicians;
Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure;
A passionate, positive mind with the ability to think and act proactively;
An exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality control; and

Experience in upholding brand guidelines across multiple channels.
