The role

As the Corporate Communication Advisor, you will execute communication strategies to grow awareness, engagement and influence of the Sunwater brand and its people and customers. You will be part of a high performing team in the Corporate Affairs function and will create compelling, insights-driven content for the Sunwater website and other digital platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of website content, user experience and design
  • Managing Sunwater’s visual brand identity and maintaining guidelines and templates to ensure it is upheld in all communication by staff, contractors and partners.
  • Delivering high quality graphic design advice that supports internal and external communication initiatives
  • Monitoring social media accounts and managing social media enquiries
  • Creating, maintaining and promoting content related to your area on the Sunwater intranet in accordance with Information Management policies and procedures

Please note that due to the nature of this role, there may be the possibility of ad hoc travel to Sunwater regional offices. You will also participate in an on-call media roster (as required) to support a 24/7 media service, strategic response team and control centre. On-call duties will require the role to remain in Brisbane for the duration of the rostered week and be available for weekend work as required.  

About you

Sunwater is looking for someone with experience in a similar role with a solid portfolio of demonstrated work. You will have exceptional writing skills and experience in producing informative and compelling online, social media and print content with the ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand messages.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and website content management systems is essential.
  • Ability to research, gather and analyse information to provide high level advice and data-driven recommendations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and confidence to independently develop relationships with internal business partners.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud in producing visual, video and audio content (desirable)
