**What you'll be doing**:
This exciting opportunity as The Planner will see you be responsible for contributing to and supporting a number of projects related to strategic, business and health service development and planning.
- Effectively engaging and collaborating with key clinicians, consumers, community and leadership in understanding and assessing gaps in health service delivery
- Identification of relevant and new technologies and evidence based models of care, policies and initiatives (national and international) to consider for future service delivery.

This position is located within walking distance to Penrith Train Station and Westfields Penrith Plaza.

**Selection criteria to be addressed**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in health service management, project management, business management or health-related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic and/or business and/or service planning projects, preferably in a health planning environment.
- Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels (including senior management, clinicians, primary care, non-government organisations, community groups and community members), to achieve project goals.
- Demonstrated problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to prepare project and meeting documentation, including briefs, project plans, presentations, agendas, meeting minutes etc.
- Demonstrated understanding, or the ability to gain an understanding, of the complex NSW Health planning environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment.
- Experience in, or ability to obtain adequate understanding of, key health service planning data tools and data sources including but not limited to Ministry of Health activity projections, population projections, demographic data and service activity data.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
