As a Senior Sales Specialist, you play an integral role in contributing to the strategic growth of Telstra and our market presence through identifying, developing and closing high-value, complex technology solutions with our clients. You strategically partner with client executives and other key members of our business to deliver high margin sales that directly contributes to Telstra’s growth.

About the role:
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available for a highly motivated individual to join Telstra Purple in Canberra as a Telstra Purple Digital Service Partner.

As a senior member of the Purple & Technology Services Sales team, you will play a critical and strategic role in growing the Federal Government and Department of Defence portfolios. You will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across the accounts to understand business requirements, propose innovative solutions and embed a customer-first mindset across the team and organisation.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Focusing on revenue & gross margin growth for the digital portfolio of products and services through identification, qualification, and development of new business.- Providing pro-active technical savvy insights to customers on technology trends.- Providing relevant digital industry insights to customers on trends and implications impacting the customer’s industry segment, and how Telstra can assist the customer.- Building and innovating design-led digital solution proposals for customers utilising Design, Data, Analytics, IoT, Development and Applications on Cloud platforms.-
- Achieving sales, revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction targets in any assigned portfolio.- Driving outcome-based conversations with key customer decision-makers.- Engaging in commercial, business level and technical discussions to support and educate customers on new technology (providing thought leadership).- Working with multiple technology vendors to provide innovative solutions to customers.- Being a leader within the Advanced Technologies/Secure Adaptive Infrastructure Practice and setting the standard for others to follow.

To be successful in the role, you should:
- Hold current/ or can hold a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance.- Be based in ACT - existing relationships in the local market is highly desirable.- Extensive and proven experience and expertise in a similar business development/sales role.- Demonstrable ability to understand Network, Calling and Cloud technologies, and use this knowledge to build propositions that solve customers’ challenges and business outcomes.- Be customer-focused and possess strong consultative and proven leadership skills.- A proven track record of developing and maintaining multi-level relationships and engagements, both within the organisation and with clients.- Tertiary qualifications in a business related or ICT field.- Certifications in relevant industry or vendor organisations e.g. Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, at fundamental or associate level.- Demonstrating a high standard of commercial acumen.
