**Details of position**

Interpreters:

- ** Provide high quality interpreting services for Mandarin and Cantonese speaking patients and Austin Health staff by telephone, video and face to face.**:

- ** Maintain accurate statistics of interpreting work undertaken.**:

- ** Adhere to the standards of the Language Services Department as outlined in the Austin Interpreter Guidelines and Protocols.**:

- ** Promote ongoing education and learning for all Austin Health staff and patients regarding interpreting services.**:

- ** Work collaboratively with Austin Health staff to ensure a timely and effective service in keeping with Austin health values.**

Translators:

- ** Provide high quality translating services as required.**

**Essential requirements for this role**:

- ** Only NAATI Certified Interpreters will be considered. Certified provisional interpreters with medical experience may be considered.**:

- ** Must comply with mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements**:

- ** Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills**:

- ** Experience in working in a health service**:

- ** Excellent organisational skills**:

- ** Able to work as part of a team**
