**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Non-Government Service Coordinator within Northern Mental Health

As an **AHP3** - The Non-Government Organisation (NGO) Service Coordinator (AHP3) is responsible to the Director of Allied Health and Adult Community Mental Health Services for the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of quality NGO services for consumers of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN).

The role of the NGO Service Coordinator is to facilitate the appropriate identification and referral of clients from a range of settings into the appropriate non-government psychosocial program. This role is also responsible for identification and referral of consumers into other programs where appropriate.

The role will be based within NALHN Adult Community Mental Health and will work with staff to ensure that consumers are identified, allocated, provided with care coordination, referred to the appropriate non-government organisation, reviewed, exited or transferred as appropriate to longer term support services where required.

Working in conjunction with other health professionals the NGO Service Coordinator optimises client functional and health outcomes in this specialty area. As a highly skilled and competent clinician, the incumbent delivers quality services and provides clinical leadership across Mental Health Services, providing support and supervision to less experienced staff.

As an** RN3** - Employees classified at this level provide clinical nursing expertise for specified individual clients and/or groups/populations, and/or provide clinical leadership for an area of practice and may work in a variety of clinical settings. Employees classified at this level are experts within their area and stream of practice and have a significant degree of autonomy and decision making.

Employees in this role accept accountability for their nursing practice, the outcomes of nursing/ practices for the specific client group, the professional advice given, delegations of care made and for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy.
