About the role
- Provide operational management and strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team of health professionals in Perinatal research.
- The purpose of the position is to develop and manage all aspects of a clinical trials research unit. The Clinical Research Manager will provide a consultancy to develop research trials and translate research to clinical practice in peri and postnatal health.
- The position is responsible for the development and management of a clinical trials service and its systems in support of research and development in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. The position will collaborate with local, national and international researchers, universities, and hospitals to establish active participation in collaborative evidence-based health care via clinical trials. The position provides expertise and knowledge in the field of clinical trials including how to initiate, support and publish original research.
- Responsible for management of the perinatal research cost centres ensuring transparency, efficiency and financial integrity.

About you
- Clinical Practice and Research:

- Demonstrated well-developed high level clinical research management knowledge, expertise and skills.
- Communication / Team Participation:

- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational management to a clinical research management team operating within a large facility or a District or service area
- A high level of communication skill in all aspects of research including disseminating of findings and ability to provide reports to stakeholders.
- Respect - demonstrates interpersonal savvy, manages conflict appropriately, communicates effectively and balances the needs of all stakeholders with utmost respect to all people at all times.
