**The Role**
The APS 6 Professionalisation Support Officer is responsible for the Navy Engineering Branch Professional Development Program.

They will work independently supporting a collaborative team to achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and learning and development work within an integrated workforce. They will provide detailed learning and development technical, professional advice in relation to complex work and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. They will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues.

The role of the APS 6 Professionalisation Support Officer will include:

- Perform analysis, design, development, conduct and evaluation of complex learning and development activities.
- Plan, manage and direct complex learning and development activities.
- Develop, implement and maintain supporting systems, policies and processes.
- Identify, interpret and clarify learning and development requirements to meet business needs and promoting a learning culture.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on the provision of complex learning and development services.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and resolve problems.
- Select and manage the provision of learning and development services.
- Evaluate and recommend learning and development strategies for emerging capabilities.
- Share own expertise with others, guide and mentor less experienced employees, and work collaboratively to achieve business outcomes.

Navy Engineering Branch is looking for a high performing, experienced Support Officer with a background in Learning and Development to be a part of their small but dynamic Professionalisation Team.

- Strong skill sets in analysing, synthesising and presenting data in a clear and concise manner that aids decision making in relation to the future learning and professional development requirements of an organisation.
- An experienced administrator and manager with knowledge in learning and development practices and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting.
- Demonstrated ability in building and sustaining effective relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and resolve problems.
