**About the role**:
We have 2 exciting opportunities for highly motivated Telephonists to work in our dynamic and supportive team providing a timely and efficient service to incoming callers and the wider hospital campus. These fast paced and varied roles include answering and transferring calls, actioning emergency procedures, updating changes to medical staff rosters and liaising with internal departments to ensure a smooth service delivery. The Switchboard operates 24 hours x 7 days with limited night shift required. Penalty rates apply.

We are seeking skilled and energetic Telephonists**_ _**who possess a passion for person centred care. As you will be providing the first point of contact for callers to the hospital, it is essential you have the ability to stay calm, courteous and professional at all times. Intermediate computer skills are required with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Previous experience in a switchboard, contact centre or customer service role is highly regarded. Full training provided to the right applicants.

2. Previous experience working in a switchboard, contact centre or customer service role
3. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to follow procedures promptly and accurately
4. Excellent communications skills with the ability to manage challenging situations for best service outcomes
5. Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
6. Previous experience working as both part of a team and without supervision
7. Well presented with the ability to interact with all levels of staff, patients and the general public to provide a quality service.
