**About the Role**

Reporting to the Manager, Information Regulation, you will be the driving force behind privacy compliance and best practices across the entire institution. Your exceptional skills will be instrumental in efficiently and expertly handling privacy-related inquiries and incidents as well as driving an engagement program to support our leaders meet their compliance obligations. Furthermore, you will play a key role in coordinating the University's Privacy Impact Assessment function and conducting thorough reviews and assessments for new initiatives affecting personal or sensitive information.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing expert advice on privacy and data protection legislation and compliance obligations.
- Offering consulting services, assessments, and compliance advice for business and research initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholder groups.
- Driving continuous improvement in privacy and data protection frameworks and tools.
- Developing and executing engagement programs to increase information governance awareness and compliance.

You will also have:

- A graduate qualification and extensive experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training in a relevant area.
- Expert knowledge of domestic and international legislation and practices regarding privacy and data protection and the ability to translate this knowledge into practical advice, tools and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate knowledge of internal and external regulatory requirements with operational requirements and objectives of a large organisation with a diverse range of functions.
