**Job location**

Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria. Forensic mental health is a specialist area within the mental health service system. The services provided by Forensicare address the needs of offenders experiencing mental health issues, the mental health sector, the justice sector and the general community.

**About the Role**:
This role supports various functions of the People and Culture team by providing advice to managers and staff on recruitment and general employment matters. The position provides ongoing maintenance and support of workforce and recruitment systems, and the management of data throughout the employee life cycle. The incumbent will be the first point-of-contact for general People & Culture queries and is responsible for delivering effective and efficient service to the organisation.

**Duties**:

- Manage the onboarding of new employees, including review of documentation to ensure compliance with Forensicare policies and procedures and accurate upload of employee information to Payglobal.
- Draft employment contracts and employment variation letters for new and existing staff.
- Process criminal history employment checks and maintain an accurate record of Fit2Work and National Police Certificates.
- Maintain the Position Description library and provide administrative support in the development of Position Descriptions.
- Provide assistance to employees and managers with troubleshooting and the use of People & Culture information systems.
- Work collaboratively with departments and staff and exercise specialist and professional knowledge to determine solutions to facilitate the delivery of P&C outcomes to meet organisational needs.

**About You**:

- A relevant Human Resource qualification is highly desirable along with demonstrated skills and experience in Human Resources.
- Experience with Payglobal/MYOB and Mercury system products an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated ability to perform with limited supervision and use initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Sound judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with relevant individuals and groups.

Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of three COVID-19 Vaccinations prior to commencing work at Forensicare. Under the Victorian Public Health orders, all employees working within the Public Health system must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All applicants will also be required to provide evidence of a flu vaccination.
