**Job Description**:
**Position overview**

We are currently offering an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Mechanical Designer. This is a 2-year maximum term, full time, and office-based position with some flexibility. This role is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your expertise in **factory automation and special purpose machine **design**. Due to the nature of position, some local and interstate travel may be required.

Position responsibilities will include:

- Developing lean mechanical concepts for tools, fixture and assembly stations
- Designing machines according to HSE guidelines
- Designing equipment using standard libraries and components
- Performing design reviews and risk assessments
- Providing technical support to contractors to design and fix machines
- Maintaining mechanical drawings according to Bosch quality standards and norms
- Supporting workshop team and suppliers during equipment build phase
- Preparing value propositions, quotations and customer presentation
- Creating and storage of standard parts for Computer Aided Design (CAD) database
- Providing design documentation and using checklists

You will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Sound knowledge in the manufacturing industry
- Technical skills with Industrial Automation Equipment, Robotics and special purpose machine design
- Software skills: MS office, Siemens NX and Solidworks
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pneumatics and Robotics experience
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
- Effective presentation skills and stakeholder engagement
