**Position Information**:
Edmondson Park Public School is a new school that opened in 2023 with 44 collaborative teaching spaces catering for 1,000 students in flexible, open, agile learning environments. Our current enrolments are 757.

Our school services a highly aspirational community where the continual focus is quality teaching and high expectations in a thriving learning environment focused on the whole child.

At Edmondson Park Public School, teachers as well as students demonstrate flexibility, adaptiveness, and a willingness to be open to new learning reflective of establishing and maintaining collective teacher efficacy in open learning environments that are governed by collaborative practice pedagogies, shared ownership of learning space and where high levels of emotional intelligence, robust conversation and feedback are paramount.

Use of the new syllabus documents, literacy and numeracy guides, PLAN2, data concepts, SCOUT, SPaRO, WWB and the SEF are core resources that all teachers will use and be across as we work to develop a high impact learning environment where student outcomes are achieved and a growth learning mindset by all stakeholders is a valued asset.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria,

Approval to teach Special Education and/or demonstrated experience and expertise in leading the collaborative delivery of quality, personalised teaching and learning programs to support students with autism, intellectual disability and complex communication needs that can impact on behaviour and learning engagement.

Demonstrated capacity to establish and lead a support unit, effectively managing the dual role of an Assistant Principal and exemplary classroom teacher, with the proven ability to strengthen collaborative practice within a support unit team, that builds staff capabilities to ensure a cohesive, effective team to enhance student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Demonstrated capacity to work with the school leadership team to foster a school-wide culture and practice of inclusion and equity and drive continuous improvement as part of a dynamic leadership team.

Outstanding evidence of high impact collaboration with parents and carers, learning and support teams, School Learning Support Officers, health providers and external stakeholders, and understanding the needs of families from diverse backgrounds.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
