We are seeking an experienced and strategic thinker to bring their skills and knowledge to the Strategic Projects team. Operating as part of the newly stablished Strategy and Coordination Directorate within the Office of the Chief Executive, you will make a contribution to the delivery of end-to-end strategic projects that are critical in supporting South Australian children to thrive.
The Adviser, Strategic Projects will participate in agile multi-disciplinary approaches to strategic projects on behalf of the Chief Executive, which have close alignment to our purpose and strategic intent.
The role also works closely with our students, teachers, and leaders to understand school and preschool contexts, as an anchor for central strategic project design and delivery.
The role provides high quality project support, problem solving and communication to support the ambitions and deliverables of the Strategy and Coordination directorate in support of the goals of the Chief Executive and Senior Executive Group.
**Essential skills and experience**:
- Desirable a tertiary education or equivalent experience in project management and or public policy.
- Proven ability to provide high quality and evidence-based advice on a broad range of complex policy issues requiring confidentiality.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of successful end-to-end projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently under broad direction, effectively manage high volumes of work and deliver required outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability in supporting critical analysis of complex problems and the design and delivery of policy and strategy outcomes.
- Proven high level interpersonal and communication skills, including proven ability to consult, collaborate, liaise, influence, and negotiate on sensitive and critical issues in to achieve high level outcomes.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
