**Salary Classification**: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 Year 1-2.
**Remuneration**: $64.57-$65.85 per hour + superannuation + leave loading.

About you

The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty (Lung Cancer). The clinical nurse consultant develops, facilitates and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provides education on complex clinical issues to clients and carers.
Initiates, conducts and disseminates the findings of locally based research in speciality.
Provides complex client‐centred consultancy practice within a mixed clinical environment.
Identifies innovative clinical practice models eg. Implementation of new treatments, technologies, and therapeutic techniques.

What you bring

Communicate clinical concepts and information to non-clinical audiences and provide authoritative advice on clinical issues within field of expertise.
Capacity to evaluate current clinical practice within oncology and recommend improvements to avoid potential problems or minimise impacts on the organisation.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability to break down complex problems and develop a range of solutions based on specialist expert knowledge of Oncology.
At least five years post graduate nursing with 3 years specialty experience in Oncology and Post graduate qualification (preferably master's Level) related to Oncology or evidence of working towards same.
Demonstrated highly developed verbal and written communication skills necessary for documenting research, promoting awareness of current research and providing clinical services directly to patients/clients.
Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with APRHA, with demonstrated extensive experience and knowledge of Oncology applied in a mixed clinical environment and/or across a range of services.
