Rail Projects Victoria (RPV) is the Victorian Government body responsible for the delivery of the Metro Tunnel Project, Regional Rail Revival, Melbourne Airport Rail and the Western Rail Plan including fast rail between key regional cities and Melbourne. RPV is responsible for all aspects of the projects including planning and development of the project reference design, site investigations, stakeholder engagement, planning approvals and procurement, through to construction delivery and project commissioning. Major Transport Infrastructure Authority (MTIA) comprises of Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), Rail Projects Victoria (RPV, MTIA), North East Link Project (NELP), West Gate Tunnel Project (WGTP) and Major Road Projects Victoria (MRPV).

**About the role**
RPV, MTIA is seeking to engage a Sustainability Manager located in the Engineering and Integration Group (EIG) reporting to the Director of EIG. This role will be responsible for overseeing and driving sustainable outcomes across RPV's portfolio of works and leading a team of Sustainability Advisors. This includes working with RPV's executive and project teams to implement RPV's Sustainability Policy in line with RPV's Sustainability Framework.
**About you**
You will be a highly focused and driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of sustainable public infrastructure, working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes. You will be qualified in sustainability, environmental engineering, science, or similar discipline with experience working within large or complex infrastructure projects. You will enjoy a fast paced, performance focused workplace where you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and develop your career.
You will also have:
- Significant experience in leading the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and initiatives resulting in improved sustainability performance on major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent technical knowledge of sustainability and proven experience in providing practical sustainability advice and guidance during the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing project requirements and managing contractual conditions related to sustainability on a major infrastructure project.
- Strong working knowledge of the various sustainability rating / reporting programs, such as the Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Scheme, Green Star, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI); and sound appreciation of the Transport Integration Act, Climate Change Act, Recycled First Policy and other relevant sustainability regulations, frameworks and policies.
