**People and Culture Administrator - 0.8FTE - 12 Month, Maximum Term**

The Lost Dogs’ Home is one of Victoria’s most iconic animal welfare organisations, caring for around 15,000 lost and abandoned dogs and cats each year. We provide a wide range of animal welfare and community programs and services. **The Role**:
The People and Culture Team is excited to be recruiting for this brand-new role, which has been created to provide administrative support across the full spectrum of the Human Resources and Volunteer Program activities. You will be joining a team of friendly P&C professionals who enjoy the collaborative and social office environment at The Lost Dogs’ Home and of course love animals

The People and Culture Administrator will play an important role in the team, supporting the efficient functioning of people and culture life cycle activities on a part time basis.

**Some of the key responsibilities will be**:

- Prepare letters and documents including employment contracts, variation letters and other letters of advice
- Effective data administration, data cleansing, reporting across one or more areas including employment conditions, induction, on-boarding, WorkCover, and training.
- Assist the P&C Team by providing administrative support in respect to projects, improvements and operational requirements.
- Manage the employee offboarding process, including sending exit surveys and termination checklists and notifying relevant stakeholders (e.g. payroll, IT).
- Assist the People and Culture Advisor with recruitment and onboarding activities including: phone screening, reference checks and preparing offer documents
- Undertake coordination and scheduling activities for P&C and Volunteer initiatives such as social events/activities, workshops and training programs.
- Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with volunteer recruitment and engagement activities
- Undertake basic systems admin activities such as editing forms, uploading contract templates and other documentation.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or Administration (or currently studying towards) - desirable
- 3 + years of administration experience, ideally with in a Human Resources environment.
- Experience utilising a HRIS, CRM or similar system/s for data entry and basic reporting tasks.
- Great people skills and ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders and contribute to positive team and organisational culture
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise when juggling multiple tasks
- Organised, self-motivated, able to prioritise effectively and work autonomously.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A love of animals, and demonstrated alignment with the vision, mission and values of the Lost Dogs’ Home
