Alumni Community Manager
**Strengthen one of Australia's most talented communities**
- **Understand the needs, preferences and motivations of members**
- **Deliver real value through engagement activities**
People don't just come to Melbourne Business School to learn. They also come to join a community of talented people who are driven to realise their full potential and make a positive difference in the world.
This community is what makes the School so special - and we're looking for someone to help it flourish.
As Alumni Community Manager, you will be responsible for strengthening and growing our alumni community by helping members engage with the School and with each other.
The role will lead in delivering alumni engagement activities aligned with our alumni value proposition, which is built on learning, networking and career development. Key channels for life-long engagement include communications, events, volunteering opportunities and philanthropic giving.
The role will include:
- Working with leaders in our External Relations department to develop a coordinated program of content and activities to increase alumni engagement
- Supporting initiatives to improve the quality and completeness of alumni data across the School
- Develop a strong understanding of the needs, preferences and motivations of alumni, and acting as an advocate for them within the School
- Using insights from data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and enhance alumni content and activities
**About you**
We're looking for someone with several years of experience in relationship, community or alumni management, or the development of customer service strategy.
Familiarity with the Melbourne Business School community - as a student, staff member, donor, client or other stakeholder - is desirable but not essential.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with a membership body or similar community to increase satisfaction levels and address individual issues.
- Outstanding collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to both lead and work as a member of a team, making a positive contribution in either role.
- An understanding of strategic planning informed by quantitative and qualitative data.
- A results-focused and goal-oriented mindset, with a 'roll up the sleeves' approach to achieving outcomes.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills, including public speaking and event management.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with people from diverse cultures, industries, job functions and backgrounds at all levels and career stages.
**What's on offer**
We value our people and ensure that we can reward you with more than just a salary. Our thanks to you includes:
- Competitive remuneration, including not-for-profit salary packaging options and generous parental leave provisions.
- Flexible work options.
- Subsidised gym membership, health and wellbeing programs and regular social events.
- Access to world-class learning and development programs at a discounted rate.
- A workplace that promotes diversity, collaboration, and new ideas in the heart of Melbourne's innovation precinct.
- The opportunity to work alongside talented and supportive colleagues who are passionate about innovation and creativity.
**About Melbourne Business School**
Our purpose is to unleash ideas and leaders for a sustainable future. Our vision is to be among the top-ranked providers of business education within the Asia-Pacific Region, to be the first choice of students and clients seeking award and non-award educational experiences, and to be esteemed globally as a leading supplier of academic and business research.
