The National Immigration Support Service team are driven to ensure that possibility is afforded to asylum seekers and refugees they support.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has experience in working with culturally diverse people and who has experience in case coordination. You could be a Case Manager/Community Coordinator/ Mental Health Coordinator or Corrections Officer. Your focus will be to provide outreach services to asylum seekers and refugees, which include women, men, and families as they work toward establishing themselves into their local community within the Parramatta and Greater Western Sydney region.

**The role**:

- Proactively work with clients towards supporting meaningful engagement.
- Assist clients to progress towards their own personal development goals.
- Develop and implement high quality Case Plans which respond to the individual or families changing needs and identified goals.
- Assist clients through referrals to identified support services.
- Provide high quality service delivery which will enable clients to connect meaningfully to the community and achieve their goals.
- Plan with the individual to create program and personal goals.
- Provide reports in a timely manner to ensure the NISS is meeting government KPI's.

**What we are looking for**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification ie: Diploma of Community Welfare, Bachelor of Social Work or similar
- Strong case coordination experience along with conducting needs assessments, developing, and implementing care plans.
- Demonstrated ability to support individuals, families and/or groups from a strengths-based and culturally appropriate perspective.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage clients with complex physical and mental health concerns.
- Ability to build a strong rapport with a diverse range of clients from CALD backgrounds.
- Ideally you will an understanding of current casework practice for refugee, asylum seeker and CALD clients.
- NSW Driver's License
- Current Working with Children Check
