About the Opportunity

The Corporate Communications and Media Partner will work with BEDA's Investment Attraction, Industry Engagement and Business Events teams to develop and deliver tactical and strategic communication activity to position Brisbane domestically and internationally, as a leading destination for businesses to invest, innovate and grow and promote BEDA's efforts in attracting global business conferences and events to the city.

Reporting into the Head of Corporate Communications, you will be comfortable working hands on within a small dynamic team. You will use your exceptional stakeholder management skills to partner with internal departments to identify and execute communication and media opportunities, develop high-quality, integrated communication and content materials, whilst also positively engaging with external stakeholders and partners on a regular basis.

**Your duties will include, but not be limited to**:
Develop and deliver targeted corporate communication, media materials and content that support BEDA's work to attract investment, grow local business and position Brisbane domestically and internationally, as a leading business destination;
Develop and execute communications plans and identify media opportunities to promote business growth programs and accelerators across key industries including health, technology and food and beverage;
Promote BEDA's work in attracting and securing global business conferences and business events to the city, including bid wins and economic impact;
Develop corporate communications and media material including media releases, speeches, social media posts, briefing notes, content plans and campaign reports;
Build strong stakeholder relations with internal and external clients; and

Support the strategy development and day-to-day management of BEDA's corporate social channels and website content.

About you

You will be a highly skilled PR and communications professional who is passionate about Brisbane and who loves collaborating with your team mates to deliver meaningful impact.

**You will also have**:
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Business or similar;
Proven experience developing and successfully implementing communications, PR and content strategies, plans and media liaison;
Highly-developed interpersonal skills with experience developing and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, industry and government agencies;
Knowledge and experience in content management systems for intranets, websites and eDM distributions;
Proven experience developing social content, calendars and plans;
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills and proven experience in drafting material across a range of channels and mediums for use by senior leaders and politicians;
Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work under pressure;
A passionate, positive mind with the ability to think and act proactively; and

An exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
