**About NEPHU**

The NEPHU is one of nine public health units in Victoria: three in metropolitan Melbourne and six covering regional Victoria. Together these units form a coordinated network, working in partnership with the Department of Health to deliver a comprehensive public health program for Victoria.

**About the role**

The Communications Officer will support the ongoing development and growth of NEPHU social media channels, newsletters, and websites by undertaking day-to-day and project-based communications activities - such as written and visual content production, social media production and publishing, and project management to ensure best practice visual and content authoring.

A regular day will see you:

- Participate in the development and delivery of digital strategy, editorial and planning activity in alignment with broader NEPHU and public health objectives.
- Work with the Communications Team to develop and deliver rich, engaging and shareable digital content and solutions for NEPHU’s social media channels and websites, including video, infographics and visual content.

**About you**

To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:

- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or similar related to digital design and development, visual communications or associated disciplines, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated digital and social media content creation skills across a variety of mediums and platforms, with the ability to understand technical information and reproduce it into a form that is engaging and easy-to-understand.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and relationship skills with proven ability to engage with diverse groups of people.
- A flexible and agile ‘can-do’ attitude.
