A temporary assignment has become available for an experienced HR Officer with Australia’s largest meat and food processing company, located in the Ipswich area.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role is initially required for a period of 3-6 months, however, there is a likelihood of it being offered as a permanent opportunity in the future. Responsibilities include:
- Providing HR advice, coaching and support to production managers, supervisors and employees
- Maintaining adequate manning levels for the business
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
- Leading investigations and performance management processes
- Managing trends in attendance, absenteeism and turnover
- Ensuring and supporting positive employee relations
- Updating and maintaining HR records (Success Factors HRIS)
- Ensuring the safety of all employees and abiding by WH&S legislation
- Associated administration tasks
We are seeking availability to work Monday to Friday and due to the nature of the business, QFever vaccination is a mandatory requirement to work at this site. To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
- HR qualifications advantageous but not essential
- Experience in an aligned role (ideally within a manufacturing environment)
- Intermediate MS Word and MS Excel computer skills with a proven ability to learn and adapt to new technology quickly (and previous experience with HRIS)
- Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written) with a proven ability to cultivate professional working relationships at all levels and positively influence and negotiate difficult conversations
- Strong organisation and planning skills with a track record of meeting deadlines
- The ability to work equally well within a team or autonomously
- Current driver’s license
