**Nurse Unit Manager - Community Residential Care Unit**

**About the opportunity**
- Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is the main provider of Mental Health services across the Gippsland region.- We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our mental health services team as Nurse Unit Manager to lead our Community Residential Care Unit (CRCU).- Our CRCU Unit consists of 14 independent residential units that have 24-hour support from qualified staff. The CRCU team assists people aged between 16 and 64 years, providing a client/family focused recovery service, working together towards improving the quality of life and developing skills towards maximum independence for patients.**About the role**
- The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) provides leadership to and is accountable for CRCU, having responsibility and accountability for the operational and clinical management including budgets, targets and key performance indicators in conjunction with the General Manager.- The NUM will be required to lead the unit in relation to implementing recovery focused care and consumer participation. The NUM is required to take a leadership role in implementing advanced nursing practice standards, to coordinate the patient flow process and facilitate service reviews.**About you**
- You will have a passion for mental health, a desire to make a real difference and be a skilled people leader with experience in effectively leading teams.-
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with post basic qualifications in psychiatric nursing, holding current AHPRA registration
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and a minimum of 5 years clinical experience
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead a team
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including the development of staff, and management of budgets
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other relevant legislation
